I read books while in an airport, on my couch with my family & during down time.
📗 Master of Change by Brad Stulberg
My latest favorite on change; integrating the complexity of the human experience in a beautifully understanding way.
💯 Skillfully working with change makes for kinder and wiser people
⚡️Healthy systems do not rigidly reject change.
❔What would it look like to accept your reality just as it is?
🎉 Caring deeply about the people, activities, and projects you love is key to a rich and meaningful existence.
💯 Core values also play an important role during periods of change, disorder, and uncertainty.
💕Action is essentially impossible without hope.
💥 Genuinely processing a situation, particularly a challenging one, requires time and space.
⏰ Meaning & growth emerge on their own schedule.
🟰 Happiness = Reality - expectations
Perhaps nothing brings people together more than shared hardship.
⭐️ Holding on to hope can be hard work, especially in the circumstances we need it most.
‼️ None of us exist in isolation from the environments we inhabit.
One of my favorite thoughts:
💥 We need to transform our relationship with change by becoming more active participants, understanding that we can shape change as much as changed, shape us.

📘 Apprentice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer
Recommended by Megan Glide Villasenor, this sequel made me laugh & reminded me people can help us discover things we didn’t know about ourselves.

📕Think Faster, Talk Smarter by Matt Abrahams
Written to help anyone communicate spontaneously better, from presentations to small talk. Perfect timing, as I am headed to WACUBO’s Women’s Leadership Forum and am continually working on strengthening my connection with audiences.
🤯 We don’t often allow ourselves to just live without worrying about how we’re doing. But we should.
‼️ When we are dwelling on the past, we are not alert to the possibilities latent in the current moment
💯 Complexity can stand in the way of some of our most important conversations.
💕 Middle ground almost always exists when you search earnestly for it.
‼️Give people opportunities to contribute.
